OpenDoor GC doesn’t operate with the pricey overhead that is typical of traditional law firms. This means we can charge substantial discounts on attorney rates. Whether you choose an hourly rate, a flat monthly rate, or a fixed fee arrangement our fees are significantly lower than the cost of hiring a full-time in-house counsel. In fact, our rates are generally at least 30% less than a first-year associate at a big law firm (who has little to no experience) and 50%-80% less than senior associates at big law firms. We provide big law experience at a fraction of the rates.
For clients not seeking regular time commitments from us, we generally charge by the hour. Our hourly rates are substantially less than the rates charged by comparable big law firms depending on the complexity of the work and estimated hours per week. We will also provide estimates for specific projects, allowing you to budget appropriately.
For clients needing more consistent support on a daily or weekly basis, we generally recommend a flat monthly rate. This rate will depend on the complexity of the work and the estimated hours per week. Our monthly rates will cost substantially less than the cost of hiring a dedicated in-house counsel, and provide you with the freedom to cancel or modify the arrangement on a month-to-month basis as your needs change.
Many clients like cost certainty, and we understand that. That is why we also provide flat fee quotes for certain projects with a clear scope of work. Some of the matters that we provide on a flat rate basis include company formation. Fixed fee packages are generally billed in two components: 50% of the agreed amount upfront, and 50% once the work has been completed.
